Getting your gear to the playa is one of the biggest logistical challenges of going to Burning Man. The DC Burners container program exists to solve that. We reserve space in a shared shipping container, you pack your bins, and we handle the haul from the DMV to the desert and back. No box truck, no roof rack, no stuffing a camp's worth of supplies into a sedan. Reserve your space below, pack what you need, and show up ready to burn.

Changes from Last Year
We brought prices down significantly from last year, when the container was managed independently by Camp Contact. Because this program now runs through the nonprofit, every dollar gets reinvested back into the community.
Travel Plans
We will be picking up Richmond gear on the 14th and bringing it back to DC. We will do a loadin on August 15th at BEHRTA. We will then park the container at 8:00 & D at KarmaLoveCamp. We will be returning Saturday after the burn.
Organizers
DC Burners is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2025 by local DC area burners to centralize community funds and put them to work for the region. We run the Burning Man container, fund art grants for local artists, organize DCOMPRESSION and other community events, and cover the ongoing costs that keep the community connected year round. Every dollar is voted on by the full board, no individual profits from the organization, and our financials are public record. We are completely independent from the Burning Man organization. We exist to serve the DMV burner community.

BURNER TIDBIT
The Greeter station sits just inside the gate at Burning Man. Volunteers there welcome every single person who arrives, first-timers and veterans alike. If it's your first burn, you will be asked to get out of the car. What happens next is a rite of passage.
Participation
DC Burners runs on participation. There are no spectators here. Every event gets submitted by someone in the community. Every art piece gets funded because someone believed in it. Every camp gets built because a group of people decided to show up together. If you've been waiting for an invitation, this is it. Make something. Host something. Join something. The community is only as good as what you put into it.
