DC Burners Town Hall this Thursday!

Groups audience:
Beautiful people, it's that time of year again!!
Its time for the DC Burner Town Hall for 2019
For those who haven't been to this before, it's our largest social gathering of the DC area Burners, Burner-adjacents, and Burner-curious individuals.
For those who HAVE been before, we're trying a li'l something different this year. Instead of a single ninety+ minutes sharing to sit and/or stand through followed by socializing, we're breaking down the sharing into three different sections of about 20 minutes each, which will start at the top of each hour, beginning at 7 pm, and the remainder of each hour will be a chance to connect and conversate with those that shared.
The three sections (with some sample but not comprehensive topics) are:
- 7 pm - The Burn
*Ten Principles
*DC Container
*Survival Guide
- 8 pm - Community Art & Projects
*Megacake
*Sunset and Chill
*Burners Without Borders
- 9 pm - Regionals & Theme Camps
*Camp Contact
*Lamplighters
*Catharsis on the Mall
*Playa Del Fuego
We heard from those that filled out the survey and folx we've talked to in person that what y'all like about the Town Halls isn't just the information sharing, but the chance to meet and catch with other area Burners, in general but also specifically about this year's Burn season from now until That Thing in the Desert. We've also heard that sitting and/or standing for ninety+ minutes is an issue for many (for a variety of reasons), so we're hoping this will help alleviate that.
Also, the intention and goal of the presentations this year isn't to be comprehensive, but enough to start a conversation. Then you can learn and find out the rest of what you need to know by talking to those who are actually in the room, instead of just being talked at the whole time. :-D
So, if you're with a theme camp, art project, regional, etc. please email us (your DC Regional Contacts) at washingtondc@burningman.org.
We'll let you know what we need for the slideshow we're preparing. And we'll need to know that you or someone affiliated with your thing can commit to and attend the Town Hall, to represent and answer questions. Don't worry, if someone can't make it, we will do our best to make sure your information is still shared, we'll just need to let people know how best to follow up with y'all.
Playa Best Articles (aka PBArticles) of clothing are strongly encouraged. And if you are part of a theme camp dress together in your swag and be identifiable, whatever that means for you.
Questions? Sound off!
