I just met with the director of the ArtReach program at THEARC which used to be part of the Corcoran College of Arts.
She currently runs a few programs in the space which is a 600 sqft classroom/workshop area on the second floor plus a smaller size gallery on the first floor. THEARC is a modern looking building in SE DC two blocks from the Southern Ave metro.
The space is currently a bit under utilized while in transition, perhaps for the next six months or so. She wants to do art shows, workshops and is totally in sync with the burner vibe.
There is also a garden outside which can be integrated in the programs.
I am going to think about a few projects of my own but I wanted to throw this out there in case others have ideas and projects.
