Looking for Dome for Burning Man Project

Groups audience:

Hey, DC friends.

Long time no see! Hope this is an OK thing to send to this list, but too
late:

we're look
ing
far and wide for a

*dome or similar structure* for our
*burning man project* this year. The project is simple: you
*battle remote controlled hydrogen-filled blimps*, attempting to light
your opponents' blimps

*on fire*. And trust me, it's been super-fun in our testing so far. But
as yet we
d
on't have a good structure to house it in on-playa.

We're preferably looking for something in the 35' (diameter) neighborhood,
though we are open to other possibilities. And we would of course love a
donation, but do have budget for renting or purchasing one, too.

To see learn more about our project (and please donate if you can--even
very small donations help!), check out the email and links below. And
definitely come check us out on the playa
or let us know (see below) if you can help
!

Hugs,
Jef

Every company needs its own mad science skunkworks, and for False Profit,
Inc., it's False Profit Labs. In Q3 2015, FP Labs is floating a new
research concept: HYDROGEN-FILLED BLIMP BATTLES.

This August in Black Rock City we’re launching Battle Blimps: an
interactive fire installation in which participants are invited to pilot
miniature Hindenburgs in a battle royale -- like the infamous Death Guild
Thunderdome, but for tiny, remote-controlled, hydrogen-filled blimps.
Every round of blimp combat will include four red-hot-poker-tipped
zeppelins, each of which will attempt to ram the others, puncture their gas
envelopes, and cause them to crash to the ground in fiery balls of doom. *Oh,
the humanity!*

And we need your help to make this insane vision a reality.

If you are able, please go contribute to our Indiegogo campaign

-- *http://igg.me/at/battleblimps*

-- every dollar matters! You can also help us out by spreading the word --
we’d love it if you would share the link to the campaign on Facebook (
*https://www.facebook.com/falseprofitinc*
)
and Twitter (*https://twitter.com/falseprofitllc*
)
and forward it to any email lists that might find the project exciting.

You can also help by getting involved directly! This project has a lot of
elements -- electronics, 3d design, fabrication, construction, and
arts-and-crafts-type stuff -- so there are a lot of fun things to learn and
do. And we’re looking for volunteers to help us build and staff the project
at Burning Man, which we’re sure will prove to be a spectacular way to
spend an evening or two. If any of this appeals to you, get in touch with
us on our Facebook group

or email us at *labs@false-profit.com* .

We’re also looking for venues at which to show this project after Burning
Man, so hopefully you’ll get a chance to see this in action even if you
can’t make the Playa this year. (And if you have leads or suggestions about
venues, please let us know!)

Thanks for your support!

Ha! Long time no see. :)

As it turns out, plenty of people here with domes, but 1) mostly too small,
and 2) mostlly in use. If there's a better place to send it in dc and you
don't mind forwarding, I'd appreciate it. I just looked in my archive and
I'm still subscribed and get the occasional messages, so figured why not.
:) How's life back east?
