Burning Man's Global Leadership Conference 2016

*Burning Man's 10th Annual Global Leadership Conference *(GLC) will be held
in downtown *San Francisco* at the Marine's Memorial Club (609 Sutter
Street @ Mason Street) during the weekend of *March 31st-April 3rd, 2016*!
The 5 Burning Man Regional Contacts will all be there if we are able to get
out there, and we get to invite 5 DC Community Leaders to join us in
attending. Are you interested?
The Global Leadership Conference is focused on leadership development,
sharing best practices across disciplines, and creating a space for our
Regional Contacts, Community Leaders, and Burning Man staff to learn from
one another.
Our leaders from across the globe truly value the opportunity to meet our
core staff members in person and share best practices, address common
challenges, and explore the unique nature of "leadership" in a
collaborative and creative culture. What skills and experiences might you
offer up in a workshop at the GLC? What topics of conversation would you
like to see addressed? Are there any wonderful speakers you've seen that
you recommend we explore?
Note also that attendees are responsible for their own transportation to
this event, as well as covering lodging. Further, there is typically a fee
of $150-300 to be able to attend that Burning Man charges outside
attendees, which goes to cover the costs of food and so forth that is
provided during the GLC. (RCs have to pay our own way there as well as
cover our lodging; however, this fee is waived for us.) There are many
lodging options and we work to share hotel rooms or AirBnB spaces and there
are typically some couch surfing opportunities in local burners houses.
We've heard from a few of you already. Please submit your nominations by
Thursday, December 31, 2015. You're welcome to self-nominate.
Also, please let us know if there are specific topics you'd like to see
presentations or discussion about at the GLC, even if you can't go. We can
work to take notes or find contacts who have answers you're looking for.
The GLC is a truly amazing experience. Let's represent! *Let us know if
