cket Sale for Burning man tickets is *Wed. March 23, 2016* at

E
astern Time.

1.
* However, i n order to buy tickets on Wednesday, March 23rd, you need to
Pre-Register TODAY before 2:59Eastern at** Burner Profiles
, so make sure your Profile is set up,
complete, current, and that you know your log in details*
*. *(If you already bought tickets in the Directed sale, you can
disregard this message unless you have friends who can also buy tickets).
2. If for some reason you can't be at the computer on March 23rd, please
arrange for a trusted friend to attempt to make the purchase for you.
3. The actual ticket sale will happen on the hour, but plan on being at
your computer, with
 a Visa/Mastercard
the and ready to buy at least 5 minutes prior
. Total ticket cost with vehicle pass is around $980.
4. You will receive an e-mail from Burning Man in the next few days
confirming your ability to buy tickets on Wednesday March 23.
5. You can only use a given credit card ONCE to buy a pair of tickets
-- if you buy tickets a second time on the same credit card, that order
will be canceled later.

Here are more detailed Instructions:

So, the First step is to register your Burner Profile:

Here is the link for logging-in or creating your burner profile:

http://profiles.burningman.com/

Follow all the steps. Once you have accessed and FULLY COMPLETED your
profile AND if it is between 3/16 noon and 3/18 noon, click the little
button in the right hand column of the page to “Register”. It will return a
unique code. Create a text document where you will store all your important
pieces of info for this process. It should have:

Burner Profile User Name:
Burner Profile Password
E-mail address associated with Burner Profile
Unique code given you when you registered your profile

We will add more to this document later, but that is enough for now.

In the next day or so, you should also receive an e-mail from BMORG that
confirms that you have registered and that you are confirmed for
participation in the sale. It will have a link to the ticket sale page that
has your code imbedded in it.

*Ticketfly*
Buying tickets is a 2 part process. The first part will be waiting in line
at the Burning Man Server, the second part will be buying your tickets at
Ticketfly. You ALSO need an account at Ticketfly. Go to:

https://www.ticketfly.com

Click the button at the top that says “ your account” or just go here:

https://www.ticketfly.com/account/login/auth

If you don't have an account, Click the button that says “register”

If you have an account, Log into your account. Verify that you have access
and that all is good. Add the following info to your text document:

Ticketfly Username
Ticketfly Password

Assuming you have your Burner Profile, your Registration code, your
Ticketfly info, here are your next steps:

1. Get everything ready. Have everything necessary checked and ready:

a. Unique Access Code- from your Burner Profile or your confirmation e-mail

b. Stable internet connection- Many coffee shops or internet cafes will
work. The ones that only give you an hour of time before you must renew you
connection probably won’t work. If the internet connection is interrupted
for any reason while you are in the que, you will lose your place and will
have to re-enter the que. This means you probably won't get a ticket.

c. A real Computer- Be sure you have access to a real computer. A cell
phone or iPad *will NOT* work!! It is a good idea to have a couple
different browsers available on your machine. That way if one of them is
not cooperating, you can switch to one that does. I do not expect this to
be an issue this year, but I am just a paranoid person who dislikes
surprises

d. Payment Method- Ticketfly accepts Credit and Debit cards from Visa,
MasterCard, Discover (U.S. only), American Express and Diner’s Club. They
do not accept Paypal. It may be possible to use a pre-paid VISA but there
can be lots of problems with verification. You can read more on their site.
Check your balance on your debit card to make sure it can handle a purchase
of about $1000 if you plan to buy 2 tickets and a vehicle pass. Make sure
that no one else is using your cards to purchase tickets (roommates,
spouses). If a card is used twice, both sales will be voided!!

e. Time- Make sure that you can be in front of a computer March 23rd,
2
:30
pm -6 pm Eastern. It will probably only take an hour but it is best to
block out time in case their servers crash like they did 2 years ago I know
that this is a real problem for those of us with jobs and classes, but it
is unavoidable. Take some time off, it is worth it. Trying to do this on
your iPhone under your desk WILL NOT work. REMEMBER to adjust for your time
zone!!!!

2. On Wednesday March 23rd,
 just before
3pm Eastern buy your tickets.

Visit: tickets.burningman.com

or

Log into your burner profile at:

https://profiles.burningman.com

or

Follow the link in the confirmation e-mail you received from BMORG titled”
“Reminder: Main Sale Wednesday 3/23 at noon!” (or something like that)

Use your code from pre-registration or the link in your e-mail to get in
line to get your tickets. Once you are in line, your browser will refresh
automatically every 30 seconds or so. Once you are at the head of the line
it will send you to their ticketing provider: Ticketfly

Last year there were 2 different screens that the sale link would send you
to. The first one would say “Promotion code invalid” and then would have an
input box for your registration code. You will need to copy and paste the
code from your special text file to refresh this page.

3. Once you are in it will take you to the page where you select the
quantity of tickets you wish to purchase. *If you can, buy 2 tickets and 1
vehicle pass.* If you get into the system, you are one of the *GOLDEN ONES*.
Don’t waste this opportunity; get 2 tickets. I highly suggest you select
physical tickets. NOT WILL-CALL!!!!!!!!! The reason is that the will-call
office does not open until Wednesday before the Burn. Every year we have
valuable set-up people who can’t come early because their ticket is
will-call. Our camp will be completely built by Wednesday!!
