Playa del Fuego Board of Directors: Nominations Open Now

Hey all you fire-filled fearless leaders!

Have you or someone you know talked about how you should become a
Coordinator for the event, or even join the Playa del Fuego Board of
Directors?

Well, now is your chance to make that a reality.

*Nominations to join the Board are now open! *

You can use the Leadership Nomination Form (link is below) to nominate
yourself or your friends to join the PDF Coordinator team or the Board of
Directors.

From there, the Coordinators will reach out to you (or the nominee) and
discuss how best to get you trained up to take on new responsibilities. You
can complete this form at any time throughout the year. Please note that
while there are not any current lead Coordinator openings, there are teams
actively looking for assistant coordinators, and others who are preparing
to train their successors. That could be YOU!

The Board of Directors is specifically looking to recruit new members now.
You can nominate individuals at any time, but please note that at least for
now, we're not intending to bring in new members more than once a year.

Some (potentially) useful FAQ:

- Yes, we're planning to incorporate term limits. We need to get some
new members on the BOD first before we start rotating people out.
- Yes, we're exploring land options for additional events.
- Yes, we like people who can think big, outside the box, and are not
afraid to consider Playa del Fuego more than just an organization that
coordinates events in a field in Delaware.
- Anyone can nominate themselves or someone else.
- You do not have to have attended PDF to be eligible.
- You do not have to consider yourself a "burner" to be eligible, but it
helps if you share our passion for building a creative community.
- You can live anywhere in the world and (to the best of our knowledge),
you do not need to be a US-citizen to join the board of directors.

Here are key dates:

- *Nominations Close*: May 18th, 8pm EST.
- *Public Comments: *May 20th - June 19th
- *Interviews -* In-person at Spring 2016 Playa del Fuego if possible.
Conference call interviews will be held soon after for those who cannot
attend the event.
- *Decisions Announced:* June 27th.
