Burner-friendly rooms available

Hi there DC Burner World,

Just spreading the word: Two rooms are available in my chill group house,
mid-June.

I'm the only burner in it, but there's room for more. It's always been an
artsy and easy-going crew -- and the prices are nuts for our central
location these days. I've been here 6 years.

Good-natured Shaw group house with 2 rooms available 6/15 ($675/$820) Our
super chill group house is about to lose two roommates in mid-June. We're
sad! We're looking forward to meeting new ones for rooms at $675/mo and
$820/mo.

Location: 2 blocks from the Shaw/Howard Metro. 10-15 minute walk to U
Street, Chinatown or 14th street/Logan Circle. 20-25 minute walk to
downtown or Dupont Circle. 2 blocks from a Giant grocery store and a
library. Many bars, restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

House: Red brick rowhouse; 2 bedrooms on the top floor, 2 on the middle
floor, and the shared living room and kitchen on the bottom; 2 bathrooms;
washer/dryer and dishwasher; garden patch out front which could use some
love; small patio space out back, perfect for a beer at the end of the day.

Crew: We're a good-humored bunch of adults in our late-20s and 30s,
gender-mixed. We cook separately and do our own things socially but get
along nicely. We enjoy occasional roomie drinks and frequent TV vegging
together. Extracurriculars are cool. Two guitarists sometimes noodle around
downstairs, and one roommate is growing veggies out back. The dynamic has
always been great.

** Room #1 (gold) $675: Comfortable smaller room on middle floor above
street level. High ceilings with tall window overlooking back area, plus
interior transom window. Large exposed closet-niche plus smaller closet.

** Room #2 (blue) $820: Largest room in the house. Top floor, with nice
windows overlooking the street. Medium closet plus another open
closet-niche. Room enough for a couch and TV.

Both rooms are a really good value. Residents can paint their rooms, the
colors are just for reference. If you need a bed, a roommate is looking to
sell one that's currently in storage. (Full-sized mattress, box-spring and
frame.)

The lease is month-to-month, but we're looking for at least a year
commitment. Stability/continuity makes everything easier. Utilities vary,
recently around $60/person. (water, gas, electric, WiFi, cable + HBO.)
