Bastille Day Thursday at Makepeace

Groups audience:

Bonjours enfants! This Thursday is that Frenchiest of holidays, Bastille
Day.

Join us for "Paris sur la Potomac" at Makepeace Manor, 7 pm to midnight.

The MpM Carriage House will be transformed into the Makepeace Penitentiary,
since jails are what Bastille Day is all about. For more info on what all
went down 227 years ago to inspire such revelry, see:

Wear the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge (same outfits as July 4, right?) or channel a
little Moulin Rouge or Burnerriffic magic.

Bring all things French to share: Wine, cheese, pastries.

Bring a towel if you want to take advantage of our miniature Riviera.

Fire spinning encouraged -- please note that having a fire safety is
mandatory at MpM.

We're at 6516 Montrose St., Alexandria, just inside the beltway. Please
park on the street across from Makepeace Manor, unless you can commandeer a
Peugeot, Citroen or Renault, in which case and only in which case you get
to park in the driveway.

Comments

Un addition!

Come eventime, the Nightingale shall sing!

Our friend Abby Schaffer has kindly offered to share some French and French
inspired tunes for our gathering ce soir :c)
