[Fire and Flow Performers] 8 Bit Circus S*it! Auditions

I am emailing this on behalf of Kyle & Sam, for *Peculiarity Productions*.

For the first time ever, *Peculiarity Productions* is producing a show for
this summer’s annual Capital Fringe Festival. Our show, *8 Bit Circus S*it*,
will bring video games to life through 🔥 fire 🔥 and circus arts!

🎭The shows will be performed in July 2017, 🎭 *Friday and Saturday
evenings opening July 7 and closing July 22*. There will be weekly
practices on Tuesday evenings, beginning in March.

*The show will consist of three acts:*

1. *Pyro-Fighters*: In this portion of the show, performers will battle
through dancing duets. Each performer will be an integral part of
collaboratively designing their very own character, costume and special
moves.
2. *Silent Hill*: This portion of the show will be our own
interpretation of the Silent Hill video games/movies. Performers will play
various characters in dance pieces that takes the audience through a
storyline.
3. *Character chaos* : this last bit will consist of the full cast
taking turns with everyone being able to use whatever tool they want to
show off their skills and let loose after the first two acts performance
bit!

The shows will be performed in July 2017, with weekly practices (that will
not conflict with Conclave or other fire troupes to our best ability).

*What is expected at auditions:*

Auditions will be held on two days, February 7th and 9th (Tuesday and
Thursday) from 8pm-10pm. Please pick a time on the poll to come in! You
will not be auditioning in front of everyone else, so get weird!

**Auditions will be held inside, so please prepare UNLIT pieces.

*In the show, most performers will be in both parts. For the audition, feel
free to choose from two options:*

- a) Dream up your own Pyro-Fighter character complete with costume and
name. Prepare a 1 minute choreographed piece with a few “special moves”
included in the choreography.
- Prepare a 1 minute dance piece inspired by some aspect of Silent Hill.
This can be the movie or the video game, up to you!

*** Please also make sure to bring any rehearsal conflicts that you know
of, 📆 from the beginning of March through the end of July. 📆

*What is the pay off?*

We want to put together a different kind of fire show, offbeat and fun!
😎 This will be a great experience to express yourself! Also, money!
Performers will receive a portion of ticket sales.
