Ongoing Discussion group about the Burner Principles starts this Sunday

Groups audience:

Real Talk: The Ten Principles of Burning Man: Radical Inclusion, hosted by
Dani Paulson

https://www.facebook.com/events/408641639478533/

55 M ST NW, Washington, DC 20001 See facebook event for more details to
get into Dani's apartment.

Burning Man co-founder Larry Harvey wrote the Ten Principles in 2004 as
guidelines for the newly-formed Regional Network. They were crafted not as
a dictate of how people should be and act, but as a reflection of the
community s ethos and culture as it had organically developed since the
event's inception.

As Burners, we have one of the strongest sets of principles set forth for
us I have yet to encounter collectively as a whole. But how much do we
really live these out from day to day? What do these principles mean to us,
individually and as a community? How did you learn what this principle
meant? Or is there a principle that you feel needs to be nurtured in your
life?

I want to invite you into my home to have an open discussion together as
Burners, as friends, as family to discuss The Ten Principles of Burning
Man. Over the next ten months before The Man burns in 2017, we will flesh
out one principle at a time, examining each one at its most fundamental
level and getting into the depths of what they have taught us in our
community whether its at a Burn or our daily interactions with Burners (and
Muggles!). For those of you wondering, yes, we will be squeezing in the
11th Principle of Consent, but I want to gain some momentum before we
tackle that one.

Please join me in these discussions. If you have a friend who hasn t been
to a Burn but would like to come, that s great. Please bring an open mind
and a willingness to walk out being the best Burner you can be!

The first Principle we will discuss is Radical Inclusion, so be sure to
invite anyone and everyone! Please just keep me posted if you are bringing
someone and be sure to RSVP. I'll have some snacks, but feel free to bring
something to eat or drink that's easy to share. This is a BYOC event.

If you are coming from out of DC there's crash space.

Hey Darrell,

Thanks for organizing these!

The link doesn't work, though I am a member of the DC Burners Facebook
page. Also, what is the date of the first gathering?

Thanks!
