[Consent Working Group] Notes from and next steps after the Working Group meeting

Hello DC Burner family,

I’d like to share notes from the first meeting of our local Consent Working
Group. Attendees were members of our community which were interested in
continuing the conversation about Consent and helping to identify next
steps. We started it off buy reading and responding to responses from the
Consent Work Survey from over the summer.

**Please note** This group is not and WILL NOT be a Consent Committee.
While it is mentioned in the notes as something to discuss, the Working
Group’s purpose and responsibility is not to receive and review alleged
consent violations. If you have questions about exactly what this means,
please email me.

That being said I invite you to take a look at our notes and action items.
And if you are interested in joining the conversation, or even the working
group, with anything mentioned, please contact me. If you may not want to
be a part of the working group, but would like to have a discussion to
respond to the notes from this first meeting, we would be more than happy
to convene that.
