BWB Grant opportunity and info on the Mid-Atlantic Leadership Conference
Hi all you fabulous burners,
I've got two things I'd love to share with you. One, an invitation, and the
other, an ask to help us get the word out for a great opportunity.
*1. The Mid-Atlantic Leadership Conference*
We're creeping up on this year's Mid-Atlantic Leadership Conference, which
will be held in Baltimore April 20 - 21.
We're expecting a group of about 80 community leaders, artists, regional
contacts, theme camp leads, event leads, and even two representatives from
Columbia University who are interested in learning more about our awesome
community.

*2. Civic Ignition Grant Applications - Due April 14th*
Will you please help us spread the word to this amazing opportunity for
members of the Mid-Atlantic region? I've included text that you can easily
share on Facebook or in emails to your network. If you know folks who live
in the region, please also share it with them. We all know how hard it is
to break through the noise, and friends telling friends about things is
really the best way to get the word out.

Know a group or an amazing individual in the Mid-Atlantic region that might
have an idea to put together an awesome creative, civic-minded project for
their community? The Mid-Atlantic Leadership Conference is happening in
Baltimore on April 20-21, and thanks to the Burning Man Project, they've
been allocated $1500 to distribute a Burners Without Borders Civic Ignition
Grant.
They are interested in programs that create collaborations, produce direct
actions, utilize several of the 10 Burning Man Principles, are
reproducible, and creatively tackle local social problems. Programs that
are solely based on artistic endeavors and do not have a community or civic
aspect will most likely not be considered for funding. Funds should not be
used for direct fundraising, chapter promotion efforts, or for paying
people for their work. This grant gives anyone the opportunity to submit a
collaborative, creative, and principle-focused project with a chance to win
up to a $,1,500 grant.
