Welcome to the new DC Burners listserv! Now integrated with the DC Burners Website!

Thanks everyone for your patience this week while I got the DC Burners.org
website configured to hande the influx of new accounts. I have imported
all of the names and e-mails from the old dcburners@epistolary.org
listserv.

The new listserv posting address is events@dcburners.org. You will only be
able to post to this listserv if the e-mail address you're posting from is
in the dcburners.org database. One nice new feature is that you can add
multiple e-mail addresses to your account. For now, only the primary
address will receive postings, but in the future we hope to allow you to
select the e-mail addresses you'd like to use to receive postings from the
various lists on the system.

The same posting guidelines apply to this list--this is meant for events
and other announcements of specific interest to the dcburner community, not
for discussion. We now have the ability to create new lists easily, you
can create one by looking at the existing lists of groups at
http://dcburners.org/groups once you've logged in and read the list of
existing groups to ensure you're not duplicating an existing group. Also,
if you're wanting a group for a type of entity that already exists in the
system, please enable it from that page, and not by creating a new group
from this link. I.e. don't create a group for a theme camp or a burner
group house, edit the existing entity and enable the mailing list from
there.

Initially, some postings may end up going into your spam box. Please check
your spam box, and mark any postings as "Not Spam" that you receive. If
you don't want to receive these postings, please unsubscribe using the
instructions below or just delete your entire account by going to
http://dcburners.org/join once you're logged in.

You also can connect your Facebook account to your DC Burners account and
login directly using Facebook connect if you desire.

This website also provides a directory of burners, and other burner related
information. You can update your account details at tp://
dcburners.org/join/ then click on the [edit] tab once you've logged in. In
order for your account information to be seen by other users on the system,
you will have to go to this page and unclick the "Hide Profile" checkbox.

Please be patient with us as we build out this system. If you'd like to be
a part of the team that builds, manages, this system, please join the group
at http://dcburners.org/dc-burners-website-curators
