GLC 2016!! Touching base on sharing it forward with the DC Burner community

Groups audience:

Hey everyone,

First off, just wanted to say thank you, again, to our awesome RC's for the
opportunity and invitation to join them at this year's GLC. Still pretty
hyped on one hand, but also very drained on the other, from a most intense
weekend.

And after talking with a couple of the other Community Leaders, we wanted
to do our best to keep this momentum going, particularly with the call to
action at the conference which kept recurring in some of my breakout
sessions, in terms of sharing and disseminating our knowledge and
experience at the GLC with our local community.

Not that this needs to be comprehensive or an all hands on deck effort, but
(*RC's, if you're okay with some of us taking the lead on this*) here was
our idea, in terms of next steps:

1. From RC's and Community Leaders who attended:
- Ask who would be interested in sharing or presenting on their GLC
experience and track.
- Ask for the breakout sessions you attended (however you want to do
that, send a list, confirm that the google spreadsheet is
accurate/update,
etc.).
2. To the community
- See who would be interested in such a sharing.
- From the list compiled from above, ask them which sessions they'd
like to hear more about.
3. For the sharing
- Figure out a date, time, and place (maybe keep it simple and see if
we can do it at one of the Burner Happy Hours coming up? Obviously we'll
also have to coordinate with everyone's schedule who's presenting).
- Prioritize sessions of interest (unless there's room for all), and
create a concise sharing of highlights from plenary and breakout sessions
(maybe Ignite style, to ensure succinctness).
- Enable time for further discussion and Q&A as a group and/or
individually.

And that's it, at least an initial suggestion.

In talking to the other CL's who were interested, we were definitely hoping
to do this by the end of the month, to keep it fresh.

If you're interested and want to be involved, please:

1. Email me back individually, at a.way.of.life.0@gmail.com, by *noon on
Friday*.
2. Let me know which breakout sessions you attended over this past
weekend.

I will follow-up with those interested in a group email by Sunday, to get a
discussion going about next steps and any suggestions to consider about the
actual sharing format and structure.

Nothing but love,

Nexus

Hi Nexus,

Thanks for kicking this off. You know I'm interested and will send you a
separate email. My question to you and the group is, would it be beneficial
for us to get together in person to do a general debrief within the next
week or two (at the latest)? I know some folks will still be traveling but
perhaps they can send their takeaways ahead of time or join us via
conference call. If you think this would be of interest, I'd be happy to
set up a Doodle Poll.

However, if the purpose of your email is to collect such info and thus, we
don't need to meet in person, given everyone's busy schedules, I defer to
you. Just wanted to put it out there.
