The Firepony Creative Society wants you...to come to Virtual del Fuego!
After making the emotional decision to cancel PDF 2020 we heard a lot of things from our community. We heard that people were mad, sad, and everything in between. And then we heard a great question: "Can we make it virtual?" Out of community interest and input, Virtual del Fuego was born.
Starting at 6pm Friday May 22nd and ending at midnight Sunday night we will bring out community together online. Using a custom built website which integrates Jitsi for online rooms, we will host theme camps and single participants in various rooms. Rooms can be used to host a specific event or to just hang out and chat. We will also have a communal pony burn on Saturday at 9pm where participants will have an opportunity to build and safely burn their own ponies on camera.
None of this would have been possible without incredible volunteers and that will continue to be true throughout the event. We are calling on the community to volunteer in our Sanctuary room, Greeters room, and as Moderangers.
There are other opportunities to participate! Anyone can submit an event on our Google form. Events may be hosted on a Jitsi Room on the VDF site, on our Main Stage (all ages) or Backstage (18+), or on the platform of the host's choice. We will put together a virtual WWW on the site for all to view. Keep an eye on http://www.playadelfuego.org for updates and to get the VDF URL when it is ready.
We hope that you can join us Memorial Day weekend for art, creativity and community.
